Search this product and you will find two incompatible ingredient lists. One is built around plant extracts. The other is built around amino acids. They cannot both describe what is in the bottle, and the confusion is reasonable rather than paranoid.
Here is the current label, and the general method for resolving this question for any supplement.
The Current Formula
Six active ingredients:
- D-Glucosamine Sulfate Potassium Chloride
- Ginkgo Biloba Extract
- Turmeric Extract
- Marigold Extract
- Green Tea Extract
- Bamboo Extract
Plus three other ingredients: a bovine gelatin capsule, magnesium stearate and microcrystalline cellulose. Nine lines on the panel.
Why the Other List Persists
Supplement formulas get reformulated — for supply, cost, regulatory or simple product reasons. What does not get updated is the long tail of affiliate pages, review sites and marketplace listings describing the previous version. Those pages keep ranking and keep being read, which is how a superseded ingredient list outlives the product it described.
It is worth saying that this is not unique to one brand. It is a structural feature of how supplements are written about online.
One Correction We Will Make About Our Own Formula
You will frequently see this described as a "six botanical" blend, including on pages selling it. Five of the six actives are plant extracts — Ginkgo, Turmeric, Marigold, Green Tea and Bamboo. D-Glucosamine Sulfate Potassium Chloride is an amino sugar, not a botanical.
How to Verify Any Supplement Label in Four Steps
- The bottle outranks every website. The Supplement Facts panel on the product in your hand is the authoritative source, including this page. If the arriving bottle does not match what you were shown, that is a refund conversation.
- Check for a proprietary blend. If ingredients are grouped under one total rather than listed with individual amounts, you do not actually know what you are taking, no matter how good the list looks.
- Read the extract names carefully. "Standardized extract" at a stated percentage is a different purchase from an unqualified herb name.
- Read the other ingredients. Capsule material lives there. It is where vegetarians discover gelatin, usually later than they would have liked.
Questions Worth Asking Before Any Brain Supplement Purchase
- Is every active ingredient listed with its own amount?
- Are the cited studies named and findable, or is it "clinical research shows"?
- Were those studies run in people roughly your age?
- Was the dose used in the study anywhere near the dose in the capsule?
- How long is the guarantee, and does it cover opened bottles?
- Does the page tell you anything the product does not do?
A site that answers all six is not necessarily selling something effective. A site that cannot answer them almost certainly is not.
